Thibault can you add links to applications made with the official Flex 4.5/Air 2.7 for IPhone exporter as soon as they will be accepted?

    Hi Tekool, hi Thibault,

Our application “Apolline & Léon”, made with Flash/Air 2.6 was accepted without any problem on App Store.
We were surprised by the rapidity of the process (4 days).

Ready for sale on itunes & android market ;-) :

If you want to have a test, feel free to ask me a promo code. :-)

  3. One more to the list:

AIR 2.6, same as Adrien. Approved smoothly on Apple Store.

    Hi Guys,

    what are your rotation settings?
The Rossignol and Cache apps are pretty much behaving like native apps when the orientation changes. In my eyes this has been the worst thing when using Flash, because you would alsways see that it is not native. So I would be interested to know how to archive that.

What is the best way to create a game so it could resize easily for all the major resolutions (800×480 android, 1024×768 ipad, 960×640 iphone4 and 1280×800 xoom)?
I already made my project for ipad (1024×768). All elements are bitmap.
The “Scale content with stage”, the new feature from CS5.5, seems to work only for objects placed on the timeline, not for dynamically added objects. Some help here?
And one more thing, no need for cacheAsBitmap and cacheAsbitmapMatrix for bitmaps? Only vector shapes, right?

The overall performance increase is the latest air build is awesome, but what about the extended android/ios api? Will there be a sort of a bridge to call system methods of the os sdks (smth similar to ExternalIntreface)?

i mean the native android/ois api.
For example, there’s no way to get the nfc lib work from within an air app on android:

The lack of this feature (accessing native api) prevents devs from making system apps based on air.

Thibault >> any plans on bridging air with native APIs?

How do you put video into an iOS app from Flash like in the ‘Digitas Cache II’ example?

There are 2 ways of doing that:

1- use FLVs. that works, but since it works on the CPU it gets pretty choppy full screen, especially on iPad 1. You can half the size of the video and blow it up which helps…

2 – use WebView, which lets you play mp4 (h264 vids) files that are GPU accelerated. using this, it’s tricky to have a decent communication between flash and the webview and autoplay is not an option.

    hope this helps.

Ya man, thanks. ‘Digitas Cache II’ must use webview because the Quicktime logo shows up. And the video did have a bit of trouble sometimes.
