Pearson Education

This is the kind of post which makes me happy :)

Some of you guys may remember the sad story concerning my book who was supposed to be published by O'Reilly France. Finally, O'Reilly France went into a bankrupt and my book was never released.

Since a few months, the book is available for download on the dedicated website and it is a great pleasure to see people sending some fixes and erratas to make the book better.

Last week, Pearson, contacted me to print the book !

So what is going to be printed ?

I am currently updating the book for Flash CS4, so that the printed book will be up to date and fresh ;)

Thank you Pearson for taking this challenge that some publishers could not take.

A few chapters will be added to the book especially concerning the Flash Player 10 new features (3D, fragment shaders, new text engine) but I will also cover some stuff I couldn't cover in the current version, especially XML (E4X), RegExp, and first steps with Flex and AIR.

When the book will be released ?

Right on time for Flash CS4 ;)
