solved my own post

private var reg:RegExp = /(:[)|(pD*]|;[)(*])|(\([SsWwAaOoFfHhEeXxUuMmKkGgLlBbRrYyNnDdCcTt]\))/g;

make sure to have regex in parenthesis groupings
